Description
The Future of Wildlife is in our Hands.
At Wild Heart Wildlife Foundation (WHWF), we believe every wild creature deserves a second chance. Our work is grounded in compassion, ethics, and science, with the unshakable belief that rescue, rehabilitation, and release must always be done with integrity and respect for nature and wildlife.
Our Non-Profit was registered in 2015, and reached a milestone in early 2024, when our organization secured a property based near Crecy, Naboomspruit, in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Here our fully permitted Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre officially opened in 2024. Since then, we have already provided care for hundreds of wildlife patients – each with their own story, their own struggle, and their own chance to return to the wild, where they belong.
We are proud to be listed here as a registered non-profit Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic, making it easier for the public to directly support the daily care and feeding of the mammals, birds and reptiles currently undergoing rehabilitation. By purchasing essential rodent, insect and worm feed through this platform, you are putting life-saving nourishment into the mouths of the very animals we are working so hard to save.
We’ve had the privilege of working hands-on with a remarkable variety of species, from Bushbabies to Pearl-Spotted Owlets and Leopard Tortoises to Caracals, Vervet Monkeys, Black-chested Snake Eagles, Southern African Pythons, and even the delicate Elephant Shrew. Our commitment extends beyond our clinic – WHWF also supports other registered wildlife organisations with supplies, resources, and guidance, ensuring that as many animals as possible receive the help they need.
We do not receive government funding and rely entirely on the generosity of the public and our corporate partners. Your contribution – whether a financial donation or a simple bag of mealworms – makes a profound difference. Every cent and every gesture of support helps us continue our mission: to heal, to nurture, and to return wild souls to their rightful place in nature.
Please consider donating or purchasing feed to support the incredible wild animals currently in our care. Together, we can ensure that the wild remains wild – and free.
With sincere gratitude,
