Chilobrachys natanicharum , commonly known as the Electric Blue Tarantula is a rare specie from Thailand , famous for its striking Electric blue colorations and violet hues , which contrast with its overall dark body. Besides its stunning appearance they are reclusive , defensive and fast making it a species best suited for more experienced tarantula keepers. This striking specie unlike most Chilobrachys species, which are obligate burrowers, has been found in tree hollows as well as burrows in the ground. This suggests that while it exhibits fossorial tendencies, it may also be comfortable utilizing arboreal/terrestrial hides, making it an adaptive species in captivity. Native to Mangrove forests in Thailand , they construct webbed structures where they sit in ambush waiting for any unsuspecting prey to come by. These webbed structures offer protection from predators, temperature extremes, and excessive humidity fluctuations. Its vivid blue coloration makes them an exceptional specie to own . However its defensive nature and medically significant venom mean it is best suited for advanced keepers who can provide a secure and well-managed environment.
