Ornithoctoninae sp. “Vietnam Silver” , commonly known as the Vietnam Silver Earthtiger Tarantula is a rare gem and absolutely breathtaking specie famous for its exceptional silver coloration , which contrast with its gold hairs. Besides its stunning appearance they are reclusive , defensive , fossorial and fast making it a species best suited for experienced tarantula keepers. This striking species is an obligate burrower (fossorial) native to Southeast Asia in Vietnam and surroundings where it inhabits humid forests and jungle clearings. As a fossorial species, it spends most of its life deep within burrows in compact soil, emerging primarily at night to ambush prey. These burrows offer protection from predators, temperature extremes, and excessive humidity fluctuations. Its vivid silver coloration makes them an exceptional specie to own . However its defensive nature and medically significant venom mean it is best suited for advanced keepers who can provide a secure and well-managed environment.
